Learn Worm Composting + Build Your Own Bin!
About the event:
Ready to turn your kitchen scraps into rich, nutrient-packed compost? Join me and our good friend Josh Wells, from Red Oak Permaculture, for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn everything you need to know, to get you started with worm composting (vermicomposting)! And then when you’re finished learning all the good worm stuff, you’ll move over and I’ll teach you how to build your very own decorative wooden box to hold your new worm compost bin.
In this class, you will:
- Learn how worm composting works
- Discover what to feed (and not feed) your worms
- Understand how to maintain a healthy, odor-free bin
- Troubleshoot common issues
- Build your very own worm composting box to take home!
This is perfect for gardeners, homesteaders, or anyone looking to reduce waste and create amazing soil naturally, even in small spaces!
All materials provided – Beginner-friendly – no experience needed

Lymphatic Tonic Herbal Class

Join us for a hands-on, nature-inspired workshop where you’ll learn how to support your body with the healing power of wild herbs!
Guided by herbalist Jeff Calhoun, this class will explore how to identify, harvest, and use common plants to create a nourishing lymphatic tonic—perfect for supporting your body’s natural detox pathways this season.
What you’ll learn:

Nature’s Classroom Event: Little Free Library & Pantry Build Class
About the event:
Join us for a special hands-on woodworking class where we’ll be building Little Free Libraries and Little Free Pantries, simple, beautiful community structures that embody the spirit of “Give a little, take a little.”
Whether it’s sharing a favorite book, offering a can of soup to a neighbor in need, or giving kids a place to find stories that spark their imagination, these small structures make a big impact. This class invites you to be part of that ripple effect.
